The Creation of the Consett Area Forum and designation of the Consett Neighbourhood Area
A great deal of time and effort was undertaken to create the designated area and in the formal application to Durham County Council. Locality also supported us to ensure the application was as comprehensive as possible. Locality is a national membership network who offers support and advice to local community organisations.

The main role of a neighbourhood plan is to include policies against which planning applications are determined. To help inform the development of robust planning policies for our area it is important to consider current and historic planning decisions.
