Pre-Submission Draft Consett Area Neighbourhood Plan- Consultation

Consett Area Neighbourhood Forum was officially formed on January 14th 2024. Our main aim is to work together to create a Consett Area Neighbourhood Plan, to support the improvement of the area for the Consett community.

The next stage if is the community consultation relating to the PRE SUBMISSION draft. If you live and/or work within this designated area, this is another opportunity to feedback to us. This is a 6 week process where we will be holding a series of in person events on a Tuesday at Building Self-Belief CIO 46, Steel Street, 10.00am-11.30am, as party of their Digital Inclusion initiative. We will also be distributing the resources to community venues across the Consett Area to ensure people have a full appreciation of what is being proposed. Online Consultation about the initial draft of the Consett Area Neighbourhood Plan

It is extremely important the community have their say about what we include in our Consett Area Neighbourhood Plan. As well as face to face events, we have created an online form for people to complete and give us their views about the area we need to focus on, and what we need to do to protect and enhance our area.

Consett Area Neighbourhood Forum - Business Survey

A key objective of the Forum is to encourage business and maximise the employment land of that exists in the Consett Area. The views of local businesses are very important. A neighbourhood plan can support and make it easier for existing business to expand and new business to locate in the right places to sustain the local economy. The Consett Neighbourhood
Forum is therefore inviting comments from across the business community to feed into this process. Thank you for taking the time to contribute to the plan.
